Alan Lee Bendit aka “Alan Lee” or “Al Showbiz” has been teaching guitar and bass at Haight-Ashbury Music Center since 1982.  He has taught hundreds of students of all levels and all ages from 8 to 80!

In the Sixties he performed as guitarist and vocalist with the Rivieras and the Castaways and toured and performed with many legendary artists including Jerry Lee Lewis and Paul Revere & the Raiders.  Credits include over 49 years in the music business as performer, audio /video engineer, and video producer working with major artists including Jefferson  Airplane, Greg Allman, Carlos Santana, Mike Bloomfield, Canned Heat, Country Joe McDonald, and many others.

Lessons are taught at Haight Ashbury Music Center on Saturdays.  Complete beginners are welcome, no musical experience required.  Learn to play songs and more in just a few lessons.  Intermediate players learn rhythm and lead techniques, theory, improvising, and more!
